The Justice and Peace Commission, within the Archdiocese of Malta, presented the document ‘Yahad’ to George Vella, President of Malta.

During a courtesy call which took place on Tuesday 1st February at San Anton Palace, Daniel Darmanin, president of the Commission, explained that the Church wishes to offer its contribution to the process of national unity and reconciliation that the President himself is promoting in various ways. The President of Malta expressed his hope that this dialogue with the Commission will be ongoing, and that the Catholic Social Teaching will contribute towards overcoming hate and healing the divisions which unfortunately are still present in our social and political spheres.

At the end of the meeting, Daniel Darmanin, who was accompanied by Mark Cachia, executive officer, and Giulia Privitelli, member of the Commission, expressed his appreciation for the invitation and for the interest shown by the President towards this project.
