The Justice and Peace Commission, together with the Interdiocesan Environment Commission are organizing an activity to celebrate the Season of Creation 2022. Through this event, they will be joining a number of Christian churches all over the world that every year, between the 1st September and the 4th of October, seek to raise awareness in favour of an attitude of care towards creation and its inhabitants.

In Malta, the activity will this year be inspired by the figure of Saint Hildegard of Bingen. It will consist of a half-day event exploring the life and work of this saint who in her time stood out for her contribution to the development of eco-spirituality.

The activity will be open to the general public (registration required). Different workshops will be held, during which participants will be able to discover the writing, music, art and appreciation of medicinal herbs of a woman with a strong message and contribution for our time.

This activity will take place on Saturday, 24th of September, at the Monastery of Saint Peter, Mdina, between 9.30 and 13.00.

All those who wish to attend must register in advance by filling in this form or by sending an email to [email protected].

To cover the costs of the event, attendees are being asked to give a donation of €10.00, to be collected on the day. If required, a childminding service will also be provided.
