On Sunday the 12th of November at 18:30, Justice and Peace Europe will be hosting its annual lecture in the oratory of St John’s co-Cathedral, Valletta. Among other masterpieces, this oratory hosts the painting depicting the Beheading of St John the Baptist, by the Italian maestro Caravaggio who signed his name in the blood of the Baptist.
Even today, there are people whose stories of truth, justice and peace are Written in blood. The martyrs of justice are those who, against all odds and in the face of opposition, oppression and indifference, offer witness to a hope-filled future of solidarity and fraternity.
This year the Justice and Peace lecture will be delivered by Jenny Sinclair. She is the founder and director of Together for the Common Good (T4CG), a charity dedicated to spiritual and civic renewal. Drawing on Catholic Social Teaching, Jenny helps people across the churches make sense of this time of seismic change and discern their unique vocation for the common good.
